Bolton Wanderers striker Johan Elmander has given credit to boss Owen Coyle for his fine form at the Reebok Stadium. The Swedish forward has come under fire for his lack of productivity following his high-profile move from Toulouse in 2008.
Elmander has an impressive three goals from four Premier League starts this season.
"It doesn't matter if I score or not because winning the game is what matters and Saturday was a mixed day overall," he told the Bolton Evening News on their Arsenal defeat.
"I'm pleased with the way I'm playing and hopefully I can continue scoring and helping the team.
"I scored a few goals in pre-season and that helped to put the wind in my sails and get some early momentum, so I think that is the reason why I've managed to get off to a good start.
"I also have a good manager who believes in me. When you have that trust then it helps you to go out on the pitch and show what you can do."
