Coyle delighted with Bolton response since Cahill sale

Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle is delighted with his players' response to Gary Cahill's sale.

The £7million centre-back joined Chelsea on Monday.

And since then Wanderers have beaten Macclesfield and Liverpool at the Reebok.

Bolton boss Coyle said: "When you lose a player of his quality it could have an adverse effect.

"But when things like that happen it can also bring a group together.

"I told the lads they had to understand that players come and go and when it happens they have to batten down the hatches and stay together as a group.

"And, in this game, the level of performance showed that."
