West Bromwich Albion striker Simon Cox is unsure of his future at the Hawthorns.

The Baggies have a 12-month option on the bit-part player and will decide if they want to take that up in the next few days.

"It is good news if they take up the option but it is also good news if they don't because that means I can then move forward and find myself another club to try and play football," Cox told the Sunday Mercury.

Southampton are monitoring developments.
