Coventry City striker Kevin Kyle admits he's warming to the prospect of joining San Jose Earthquakes. The Scotland international is currently playing on-loan at Hartlepool United and has been recommended for San Jose coach Frank Yallop by Adrian Heath, the former Sunderland and Coventry coach.
Heath is now in charge of Austin Azetx, a step down from the MLS, and Kyle said: "Adrian works out there and he said one team - Frank Yallop's side - is looking for a big, 6ft 3in Scotsman, so he was asking me about going out there.
"It's an interesting thought, but it's a big decision. Their season is a different time to ours and I'll look at every option available. Hopefully something will come out for me.
"But who can complain if you are playing football at 3 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon and making people very happy - and making some people very sad as well?
"It's a great job to have and I cannot complain. America might be an option, but I don't think there's many flights go from here, so I doubt I will get home very often.
"Adrian Heath said he has never experienced anything like it over there - the lifestyle and the weather and the football. I "It's as cheap as chips over there, so you can live like a king and he reckons football is taking off over there.
"Let's see what comes in January or June, but I'm enjoying playing football for Hartlepool and it's nice to have a smile on my face again."
