Coventry to snap up Fleck from Rangers

Coventry City have completed the signing of John Fleck from crisis club Rangers.

The 20-year old midfielder decided not to transfer his 'Gers contract across to new owner Charles Green's newco and will today officially depart Ibrox to sign with League One outfit Coventry despite there being some uncertainty regarding a potential move.

Reports suggested that Rangers were set to take legal action against Fleck about his shift away from Glasgow but that has since been rubbished with a move to Ricoh Arena now imminent.

"An inaccurate media report this morning suggests the club is taking legal action against John Fleck over his move to Coventry City," read a statement on Rangers' official website.

"Both clubs have in fact reached agreement for the transfer of the player and Coventry have recognised Rangers' rights as part of the process.

"A formal announcement will be made later today."
