Coventry goalkeeper Keiren Westwood is wanted by West Ham United.
The People says Hammers co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold admit Green is up for grabs and new boss Avram Grant has identified Westwood, 25, as the man to step in.
Grant, who is planning a radical overhaul of the squad at Upton Park despite a modest transfer budget, hopes to get the Republic of Ireland keeper for about £2.5million.
He has a year left on his Ricoh Arena deal and is yet to sign an extension offered by chairman Ray Ranson.
