Coventry City will be due a hefty windfall from Norwich City's sale of James Maddison.
The midfielder is expected to join Southampton this week for a fee of between £22-£25m.
The Sky Blues sold the Coventry-born star to Norwich in the January transfer window of 2016 for an undisclosed fee, believed to be an initial £2.5 to £3m with several add-ons that then City managing director Chris Anderson claimed would provide the club with “significant" funds over the course of a number of years, says the Mirror.
The loaded deal included first team appearances, Premier League showings, goals and England caps while Coventry have a sell-on clause which, if the standard 10 per cent, would yield the club £2.5m if he goes for the asking price.
