Coventry draw a line under Man City wideman Etuhu

Coventry City boss Aidy Boothroyd, whilst admitting an initial interest in Manchester City winger Kelvin Etuhu, has decided not to pursue the player. The English Championship side were rumoured to be among a number of managers looking to secure the services of the 22-year-old Nigerian, but he has put an end to that speculation.

"We looked at him and there was an opportunity to do something with him in the summer," Boothroyd told the Coventry Telegraph.

"He has got a terrific record but we have got players who are in the groove here and just getting it."

Etuhu has made just 15 first-team appearances at the City of Manchester Stadium and needs to move away to further his career.
