Coventry City boss Mark Robins says Sir Alex Ferguson has never thanked him for saving his job at Manchester United.
Ferguson was openly being tipped for the sack if United crashed out of the FA Cup, when Robins hit a dramatic winner to sink Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest in 1990. And the rest is history.
Coventry visit Spurs tomorrow and Robins said: "No, Sir Alex never thanked me. I was doing my job. I don't have a special relationship with him.
"The enormity of my goal only sinks in years later.
"At the time, you're only a player doing your job."
