Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho wants assurances from club chiefs that he'll be allowed to leave this summer for Barcelona.

The Mirror says the Reds rejected three bids for the Brazilian last summer, the final Barca offer was £114 million.

And with the Catalans again expected to return for Coutinho next month, the player wants a guarantee from Anfield that he will be allowed to switch to Spain once the summer window opens.

That compromise agreement would allow the playmaker to concentrate on Anfield until the end of the season and then switch to La Liga. The 25-year-old still has his heart set on a dream move to Barcelona.

The decision to delay a move until the summer would also give Liverpool time to find a replacement.
