Philippe Coutinho was pleased to be part of Barcelona's 2-1 win over Valencia.

The midfielder feels he's improving game by game since his January arrival.

"I am, little by little, trying to feel better on the pitch," he admitted.

"I always say that at Barcelona you play a little differently.

"I have to incorporate that style into my way of playing."

Lionel Messi returned to form on Saturday, and although he couldn't score himself, Coutinho has made clear just what it means to play alongside him.

"For me, he's the best in the world, it's an honour to play with him," he confirmed.

"We have to keep going as a team because we're in two important competitions.

"We have to look forward, today's victory was important."
