Vasco da Gama starlet Philippe Coutinho is ready to join Inter Milan.
Coutinho has spent the past year on-loan at Vasco after signing officially for Inter last year.
"I was not the one who chose Inter, they chose me. They followed me and I was happy to say so, also because no other team from Italy was looking at me," Coutinho told Corriere dello Sport.
"Other European teams followed me, but I had no doubts. I have been to Milan a couple of times and I liked it a lot. I got to know the players and directors and I cannot wait to start this new adventure.
"I know that I have to work a lot to improve under many aspects. Acquiring experience will be decisive, as it will be to work hard in training. I am a trequartista who loves to end up among the goals, but I like to put my team-mates in the best position to score as well."
On the prospect of playing for Inter coach Jose Mourinho, Coutinho added: "He is an excellent trainer. I can learn a lot from him. He seems to be very aware as a Coach, both kind and calm.
"Carlos Alberto, my team-mate at Vasco has spoken a lot about Mourinho having played under him at Porto. He told me that Mourinho is one of the best trainers and that I will find myself in good hands. The important thing is to work hard and listen."
