Dean Saunders believes that Liverpool's chances of claiming victory over Aston Villa in the FA Cup semi-final this weekend rests in the hands of Philippe Coutinho.

Coutinho has arguably been the best player for Liverpool so far this season and former striker Saunders believes that the little Brazilian will have a big say in helping the Reds to a victory over Villa at Wembley on Sunday.

"Coutinho can have a massive say in how Liverpool perform and dictate what goes on in the game," he said.

"He's a class act. He really is that good. It's a huge day out for both sets of fans and it's hugely important to both of them for different reasons.

"For Brendan, it's not just sticking a trophy in the cabinet, he'll be aware that it could provide just the boost the club needs to try and chase down Manchester City for that all important fourth spot in the league."
