Cousin of Liverpool striker Origi on trial at Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have welcomed Kenyan international goalkeeper Arnold Origi to trial with the club.

The 34-year-old is currently plying his trade with Lillestrom in Norway.

Eagles boss Roy Hodgson is looking for another keeper to test Wayne Hennessy, now that Julian Speroni is 38. Getafe's Vicente Guita is also being considered.

However, reports in Norway have suggested that Origi, cousin of Liverpool striker Divock Origi who is currently on loan at Wolfsburg, has made his way to south London.

Lillestrom sporting director Simon Mesfin said: "Arnold is not training with us because he has requested permission to work out with a club in England. He is there for an indefinite period."

Club coach Arne Erlandsen added: "I think Arnold has played his last game for us. We wish him luck with his career.

"I hope he finds a club where he gets what he wants."
