Thibaut Courtois has told Chelsea he won't sign a new contract, it has been revealed.

Spanish reporter José Ramón de la Morena, on El Transistor, has revealed the Belgium goalkeeper has informed Chelsea he intends to rundown his contract and leave in a year's time as a free agent.

Courtois' planned destination is Real Madrid, which are prepared to wait 12 months before signing him.

However, that prospect could be brought forward a year, with Chelsea knowing this summer's window will be their last chance to make money on his transfer.

Former Atletico Madrid No1 Courtois is desperate to return to the city to be closer to his daughter.
