Thibaut Courtois has returned to Chelsea during the La Liga winter break to undergo a series of tests which he has passed with flying colours.
The 19-year old Belgian goalkeeper is on a season-long loan at Atletico Madrid after signing with Chelsea from Genk in the summer and has confirmed that he is back in London to check in with the Blues over the winter period.
"I can jump a foot higher than I could last year and my reflexes have also improved.
"Chelsea were especially impressed by my results in the stress test. Under great pressure I was able to continue coolly.
"For now they are satisfied in all respects," he added. "Now we will see how the situation with Atletico's new coach (Diego Simeone) plays out.
"I have to prove myself again against the other goalkeepers.""The tests showed that over six months I have become a lot stronger," Courtois told Voetbal Primeur.
