Courtois notifies Chelsea boss of plans to stay at Atletico

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has revealed that he told manager Andre Villas-Boas he would like to stay on loan with Atletico Madrid next season.

The young Belgian gloveman has become the Spanish side’s first choice since joining on loan immediately after he signed with the Blues from Genk in the summer and is enjoying his time at the Vicente Calderon, so much so, that he is keen to stay next term.

"I am very happy at Atletico and I am living a good experience," he told Marca.

"I would like to stay here one more year and I said this to Chelsea's manager on Sunday."
