Hugo Lloris has been told to quit Tottenham.

Lloris has been urged by a former France goalkeeper to seek a move from Spurs in January.

Gregory Coupet, seven times champion with Lyon whom Lloris left this season, said: "If I were in his place, I would leave. His situation is intolerable.

"There are four keepers. I don't understand how things go in training. It is a terrible waste of time for him there."
