Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta says the prospect of an all-Spanish squad is unlikely.
Zubi admits Barca will always strive to bring the best players from around the world to the Nou Camp.
He said: "That's unlikely. It depends on what you mean by 'domestic'. [Lionel] Messi came through the youth system, but he was born in Rosario. The same thing with [Andres] Iniesta.
"To have the entire squad made of players we have brought up is unlikely because it has always been Barca's obligation to seek out the best players, the best talent in the world - it's a huge market."
