Departing Notts County boss Steve Cotterill is flattered by interest from Portsmouth.
Pompey administrator Andrew Andronikou revealed earlier this week that Cotterill was one of "eight or nine" managers to have been recommended to the south coast club.
Cotterill has since parted company with Notts County but he would not be drawn on whether he could soon be taking the reins at Fratton Park.
"I've read the administrator's comments and obviously he's said I am a name that is being considered, but I'm sure they have got other good managers to look at," he told Sky Sports News.
"Therefore I can't say too much about it because I don't know what their thinking is, other than it is flattering to be linked with a club like Portsmouth.
"Let me work my contract out here before we start talking about other jobs."
