Cottee urges Leicester to go for Leeds striker McCormack

Tony Cottee feels Leicester City should move for Leeds United striker Ross McCormack.

Cottee, who scored 34 goals in 100 appearances in a City shirt, believes the key is to find someone who will make double figures in the goal tally next season.

"What you do need is someone who is going to score you at least 10 Premier League goals a season," Cottee told the Leicester Mercury.

"Whether that player is at the club already, I don't know.

"I think it's important to find someone, for example, Ross McCormack, who is a proven goalscorer at Championship level, and I believe he could score goals in the Premier League."

"The problem Leicester have got is that every club wants a goalscorer, and it's not easy to get them.

"If you do get them, you've got to pay the big transfer fees."
