West Ham United legend Tony Cottee hopes the Hammers are playing under Slaven Bilic next season.
The Croatian, who featured for the Hammers in 48 games during in 1996/97, is being heavily linked with a summer move to east London to replace Sam Allardyce.
He said: "For me, Slaven is without doubt the No.1 choice to be the new manager.
"He has enjoyed success at both domestic and international level, was a fantastic player, is a top guy and also has a very strong connection with the club."
Bilic has managed the likes of the Croatian national team and the Turkish club Besiktas in his managerial career.
