Costa Rican sources are convinced Real Madrid will drop their pursuit of Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea today.
Keylor Navas dominated the back pages in his homeland yesterday after another cleansheet and a penalty save in victory over Real Betis.
The Costa Rican media are openly hostile against Real's move for De Gea, insisting Navas deserves his chance to be their outright No1.
La Nacion says it's "time for Real Madrid to stop talking about De Gea", while TicoDeporte.com says the "De Gea operation has collapsed".
"The Bernabeu made their judgment (on Saturday)," said their editorial, "the chants of 'Keylor, Keylor' said it all."
