Costa Rica's Delgado set for Chivas USA loan

Dario Delgado is set to join MLS club Chivas USA from UNAFUT outfit Puntarenas FC on loan. The 24-year old Costa Rica international has signed for a season with Chivas following rumours of a move to Seattle Sounders.

Puntarenas' official website reported the following: 'The negotiation between Chivas USA and FC Puntarenas by Director of Operations Daniel Araujo chuchequero team and President of Score One Soccer Company paid off and Dario Delgado Captain of Sub-National Champion is tied to loan until December 2010 with an option of business with this award-winning team of MLS.

'Dario Delgado comes to the United States on Thursday at 6 am.'

Delgado told the website that he was extremely grateful for being given the chance to try his luck in MLS.

"I feel very happy because I'm reaching the goals I had set, thanks to Don Daniel to bring this negotiation was a dream for me, Dona Alejandra my eternal gratitude for trusting in me and my colleagues for their commitment and friendship and Buenos Aires's the fans will always carry in my heart that will always be orange Chuchequero," said the captain.
