Diego Costa is ready to make peace with Chelsea.

The Premier League champions, according to the Express, are preparing to sue the Spain international for up to £50m if he refuses to return to Stamford Bridge.

Costa spent the off-season in Brazil and has refused to return to England, demanding that he be sold to Atletico Madrid.

However, because Atletico are unable to sign players until January, a deal was not completed.

The 28-year old striker, who scored 20 league goals for the Blues last season, is now prepared to reconcile with the club as he wants to remain in contention for a spot in Spain's World Cup squad next year.
