Fiorentina sports director Pantaleo Corvino is confident the club will not implode after an explosive few days.
Diego Della Valle resigned as president after clashing with coach Cesare Prandelli and being upset by supporter boycotts.
"In speaking about Della Valle's decision there obviously is a lot of bitterness. In light of what he had done in recent years, it's clear that he has a lot of Fiorentina in his heart, putting a great deal of economic energy and commitment into the club," Corvino explained.
When asked about the future, Corvino said: "We have a solid club and we will try to establish ourselves as a team who fights behind the big four in expectation of other resources.
"I had already said that Prandelli wanted to stay with us. And we said and confirmed it again after the game on Sunday.
"We will go forward with Andrea Della Valle as President. Prandelli has confirmed that he wants to be part of the project."
