Bernardo Corradi is happy with his contract extension at Montreal Impact.
The Italian centre-forward shook hands on a deal during the week.
"I think we are all happy,” Corradi told the Montreal Gazette. “It’s a verbal agreement. I just have to wait for my brother to come from Italy to look (at) all the papers, but there will be no problem.
“I wanted to stay. To go back home would have been like to not finish my work,” he said. “As I already say, I really feel comfortable here. I feel like (it’s) home and I have to thank the Saputo family, Jesse, Nick and all my teammates because I feel at home.
“My wish has been to stay here.”
