Tottenham defender Vedran Corluka has taken a swipe at former club Manchester City.

He said: "City gave me the chance to play in the Premier League and I am grateful to them - but Spurs are a big club."

Corluka insists he doesn't have any regrets at missing out on a share of the riches now being ploughed into his former club.

He stressed: "I am much happier here - at a big club.

"For me, yes, it is bigger than Manchester City. Spurs has a big history and some great players.

"Lots of people were talking to me about Tottenham and a lot of English people think this is a bigger club."
