Southampton midfielder Jack Cork feels teammates Ricki Lambert and Jay Rodriguez deserve an England call.

Cork hopes there will also soon be international recognition for the attacking pair.

"If you look at the goals that have been scored at our club from English players and the chances that are being created, you can't look any further than them two," he told the Daily Echo.

"Jay has his own abilities and Rickie has his abilities. They're both great players who wouldn't look out of place in the international scene for England.

"It would be good to see if they did get a call up to see how they did cope, because I know they would do really well.

"They just need that little chance really."
