Released AS Roma striker Adriano has confirmed he is moving to Corinthians.

Adriano signed with Corinthians last week.

"I left Roma without provoking any trouble, let it be clear. Quite simply I realised there was no reason for me to stay," he said.

"I had picked up three serious injuries and so it was impossible to play consistently. I realised it was a sign: the time had come for me to return to Brazil."
