Corinthians president Mario Gobbi admits they're determined to sign AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato. The owner says they are still considering a move for the injury-prone goalscorer.

"There have been initial talks and we've looked at Pato," he told reporters. "There has been nothing more.

"Let's see what happens - but we are only in the early stages.

"It is as if I had invited a woman for dinner - we went on a first date. I do not want to create expectations, but we have cash available and are considering our options."
