Corinthians president insist no Chelsea bid for Lulinha

Corinthians president Andres Sanchez insists no offer has arrived from Chelsea for teenage star Lulinha.

Sanchez is determined to secure Lulinha to a new contract, with the 17 year-old's current deal expiring in 2009 and carrying a modest buyout clause. Sanchez wants to extend the agreement to 2012.

The Corinthians president confirmed yesterday he had met with Lulinha's agent, Wagner Ribeiro, but denied they'd discussed Chelsea's offer. Ribeiro was in London last week for talks with Chelsea officials.
