Corinthians marketing chief Luis Paulo Rosenberg expects them to try again for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez in January.
If Tevez remains with City beyond this month's transfer deadline, Rosenberg says Santos will try again.
"You can expect us to go after him again," he said.
"I think the deal was missing more than 5 million euros. But we would still have to deal with Tevez, we did not do so because we still needed to reach a settlement with City."
