Cordoba raps Inter pal Ibra over Mancini criticism

Ivan Cordoba has rapped Inter Milan pal Zlatan Ibrahimovic for criticising ex-boss Roberto Mancini. "I respect everyone's opinion, but Zlatan must be aware that he had great years at Inter with a Coach who won a great deal and played him regularly," the defender told Sky Italia.

"There is no such thing in the world as a tactician who everyone agrees on, because the trouble with us players is nothing is ever good enough.

"We are working very well with the current Coach, Mourinho can give us a step up in quality thanks to his experience, but we must also thank Mancini for everything we won with him."

Mancio was surprisingly fired in the summer despite notching up a third consecutive Scudetto.

"Was Ibra ungenerous? I think so, but I don't know if there was something deeper between them to warrant these comments. Perhaps it was a way of letting off steam now he feels more free," continued Cordoba.

"He had that injury problem during Mancini's reign and couldn't seem to find a way out of it, he couldn't perform the way he wanted to, and perhaps he did not take that into account when looking back."
