Cops forced to breakup Keane's Sunderland inquest

Local cops had to break up Roy Keane's post-match showdown talks with his Sunderland players after Saturday's 7-1 thrashing at Everton.

But police intervention had nothing to do with Keane's fury, just his timekeeping.

The Daily Mail says Keane's inquest into Sunderland defensive failings was approaching the hour mark when a police officer hovering outside decided it was time to intervene.

Taking courage in both hands, he knocked on the door and announced Sunderland were in danger of missing the police escort for their team bus.
