Cops demand action against Real Madrid security staff over James chase

Local cops are demanding action against Real Madrid security staff.

Marca says the Unified Police Union (SUP) has requested that Real Madrid's private security staff be sanctioned for preventing the police from arresting James Rodríguez in Valdebebas, after they pursued him for driving at over 200 km/h.

James arrived at Valdebebas that day with an undercover police car in pursuit, although it was identifiable as such due to its siren and flashing lights, after the player was spotted driving at over 200 km/h.

The two officers in pursuit of the player were stopped at the entrance to Valdebebas by private security staff who let James through. According to the SUP, the actions of the security staff "clearly hindered" the pursuit and the security staff were obliged to assist the police officers.
