Reading boss Steve Coppell insists he won't panic buy this month.

After defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday, Coppell insisted: "The suggestion is that we've got to bring someone in desperately to put their finger in the dyke and that is not the case.

"The only signings we will make will be for the long-term benefit of this club rather than for the next four months."
