Coppell: Reading can be proud of season

Reading boss Steve Coppell wants his players and fans to celebrate after today's game against Derby - no matter the result.

"I still feel that if we finish fourth from bottom it's better than Arsenal finishing third," he said. "And that's because of our resource levels and everything. I think it's an unfair competition.

"We're just 90 minutes away and, given the run of freakish results in the Premier League, we've still got a great chance."

Whatever happens, Coppell wants his players and 3,500 travelling fans to savour the final day. "It's a celebration, come what may," he said. "This is our second season playing in this division in 137 years."
