Reading boss Steve Coppell has told Emerse Fae he has no future at the club.
"Sometimes you have to accept a player just does not fit. When you make signings, especially in the Premier League, every one has to be right. But it doesn't always work like that."
Fae and Ibrahima Sonko were suspended by the club for refusing to play in a reserves game earlier this month, but the latter could still have future with the Royals.
"He is a different case," admitted Coppell.
"I spoke with him and said to him 'it's up to you now'. He is off with Senegal for the World Cup qualifiers, so I wished him well."
