Reading boss Steve Coppell is weighing up whether to recall defender Alex Pearce from his loan at Bournemouth.

Coppell is seeking defensive cover in January as he prepares to lose players to the African Nations Cup. Centre-half Ibrahima Sonko is expected to make his debut for Senegal during the tournament - and Andre Bikey, his deputy, will be representing Cameroon.
