Reading boss Steve Coppell insists Leroy Lita has a future at the Madejski, despite allowing him to extend his loan with Charlton Athletic.

Coppell said: "I've done it because four into two doesn't go and Leroy wants to play competitive games. I can't really put two strikers on the bench and we only have about three reserve games left in which he can play. At Charlton he has just had four games in a row."

Lita, a £1million signing from Bristol City, only has a year of his Reading contract left but Coppell confirmed "he has a future at Reading".
