New Plymouth striker Kenny Cooper hopes his move to Home Park will help him make the USA's World Cup squad. The 25-year-old has joined the Championship outfit on loan from 1860 Munich until the end of the season.
Coope, who has won 10 caps for the US, said: "I have had some time with the national team over the last couple of years and it has left me hungry for more of those experiences - especially with the World Cup just around the corner.
"I feel there's a great opportunity to play here and do well. Hopefully that will translate into opportunities with the national team."
