Hong Kong businessman Carson Yeung will agree to meet Birmingham boss Steve Bruce to discuss concerns that the manager may not be offered a new contract.

Yeung, who hopes to complete his £50million takeover before the end of the year, is due in Britain next week and Bruce has requested talks.

Yeung's adviser Sammy Yu said: "For the moment, we will stay silent on what has been said over the past days."
