Prospective Birmingham City owner Carson Yeung is ready to open new contract talks with manager Steve Bruce.

"I have a lot of faith in Steve Bruce and am excited about owning the club," Yeung told the Mirror. "He knows it is not our fault about his contract and I will give him my full support and talk about new terms when we take over.

"He recommended some players for us and I told him I can do it for him.

"When I complete the general offer for the rest of the shares I will help him financially."
