West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace won't give up their bid to land Derry City winger Pat McCourt.

Peace has become a seasoned veteran of poker-style negotiations around the transfer table and is not thought to have been put off after an opening gambit met with a stern rebuke, says the Birmingham Mail.

McCourt won the PFAI Young Player of the Year Award in 2005 and has gone from strength to strength since, scoring 6 goals in 31 appearances last season.
