Graeme Souness has expressed an interest in moving into international management.
The former Newcastle boss has been strongly linked with the vacant Scotland job, while there has also been talk of him taking charge of Republic of Ireland.
Asked by RTE television whether he would be interested in the Ireland job, Souness replied: "I would be interested in taking a national team position," before pointing out that the Scotland position was also vacant.
However, he refused to state a preference for either job.
"I've not been offered either of them, so I can't comment."
