Russia boss Guus Hiddink insists he was never tempted by the England job.
Hiddink's Russia side take on England in a crucial Euro 2008 qualifier on Wednesday, but he has played down talk about the artificial surface at Luzhniki Stadium.
Hiddink does not believe Russia will have a significant edge, having trained on the pitch in the past.
He explained: "We've practised a few times on this pitch but England have practised also so the advantage is not huge.
"The bounce might be a bit higher but there won't be much difference."
