According to theNews of the World, Madrid are demanding £17million from Ronaldo after he opted to remain at Old Trafford.
Madrid are now claiming that the 23-year-old agreed terms with them and his contract entitled the Spanish champions to a hefty sum of compensation.
Real president Ramon Calderon will only forego the fee if Ronaldo heads for Spain next summer.
