Stuart Pearce has got a new role with England - mouthpiece for Fabio Capello's team talks, reports The Sun.
And with the language barrier yet to be fully broken down, Capello has entrusted Pearce to deliver his final rallying cry at the Stade de France on Wednesday night.
Pearce, who has also started to learn Italian by listening to self-help CDs in his car, admitted: "Yes, I am helping to convey team talks.
"I think it's general points Fabio really wants to nail home and emphasise. He will ask me 'Tell them this, make sure they know that'.
"He has spoken it in English but wants to make sure they hear it from a voice through which he knows they're going to understand exactly what he means."
