Argentine winger Jonas Gutierrez is more than happy for interim boss Joe Kinnear to stay beyond his short term contract. "I like Joe, he is a good manager and I think he will help up us to get out of the bottom three," Gutierrez told The Journal.
"We don't know what will happen but for us it would be very good if we had a manager until the end of the season.
"It's good for the team to have a manager that will finish the season but we don't know what will happen.
"What I have to do is play football and play as well as I can for the manager that we have now."
"I do not regret moving here to Newcastle," he stressed. "It was a surprise what happened with Kevin Keegan and I was sad to see him go.
"The results were going well so it was a surprise that the manager left but we are players and we must play well for Joe now."
